There was completed the first spectacular stage of works at the construction site of spherical silo for storing 50 KT of sugar in Dobrzelin. Filling with concrete the ring around the structure lasted for two days non-stop.
The ring consist the foundation of the silo dome. After it is done there can be started the operation of filling the balloon with air and finishing works on the dome.
There were used 60 lorries' loads of concrete during the pouring operation. The ring diameter is 57 meters. As this year weather conditions are diffucult any moments of favourable weather conditions are used for works at the construction site, and thanks to this works are progressing.
The silo project is being accomplished by Wiedemann Polska on the order of Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa, nad it will be commissioned for 2011 sugar campaign.
