The operation started with unfolding and fastening to the ring the balloon sheating (the below picture). The material has been produced in France by PIRS, the co-operative party of Wiedemann Polska.

 

 

 

 

After unfolding the sheating the air fans have been prepared. Their task was to fill out the balloon with the pressured air. When preperations were completed there was only the need for favourable weather conditions. The balloon mustn't be filled out at the strong winds due to the risk of relocation of the entire structure.

 

 

Wind free weather come in the morning hours on Sunday, January 16th. After few tens of minutes of the steady work of fans there was brought into inside the balloon more than 65 q.m. of air lifing in vertical position the 36 m high spherical structure (the below picture).

 

 

 

 

After ensuring the structure is safe there were started preparations for works that were going to be done inside the balloon. The dome will be covered on the inner side with few layers of thermal insulation and concrete. The sheating on the outer side will remain as it is now, but there will be placed on the ball the trade marks and emblems of Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa.

 

 

 

 

 

The entire works in the KSC division Sugar Factory Dobrzelin on the behalf of Wiedemann Polska are directed by Mr. Henryk Jaźwiński. First sugar for storing in the silo will come on the conveyers from the factory during sugar campaign 2011/2012.
